The Chancellor of UNS (Prof. Jamal Wiwoho), accompanied by the Vice Chancellor for Research and Innovation (Prof. Kuncoro Diharjo) and the Deputy Chancellor of Academic and Student Affairs (Prof. Ahmad Yunus) were pleased to see the exhibition of FMIPA's superior products in commemoration of the 25th Anniversary

FMIPA UNS – The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta commemorates the 25th Anniversary. The highlight of the Anniversary celebration was held on Wednesday (29/09/2021) in the parking lot of Building A FMIPA attended by the Chancellor and University leaders, Head of Institutions and Deans within UNS.

The Chancellor of UNS in his speech was happy and proud because even though the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences is still young, it is rich in achievements. It is proven that the highest number of publications at UNS comes from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. Leading in international publications and the percentage of lecturers with the most doctoral degrees at UNS is 55%, which exceeds the target set by the University by 50 percent.

“Although the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences UNS is young, it is rich in achievements. It’s like even though it’s a silver anniversary, for UNS, FMIPA has achieved gold,” said the Chancellor in his speech.

The Chancellor also hopes that the achievements made by FMIPA can be transmitted to other faculties at Universitas Sebelas Maret.

Along with the peak of the Dies Natalis celebration, the Bird Conservatory was also inaugurated as a means and effort to conserve endangered protected birds. After the inauguration of the Bird Conservatory , the Chancellor was pleased to see the superior products of each study program on display.

Recipients of Business Capital Assistance from the FMIPA UNS Alumni Family Foundation to student entrepreneurial groups who have passed the selection of the Micare Business Coaching (MBC) program.

At the peak of the Anniversary event, business capital assistance was also handed over for students and alumni from the FMIPA Alumni Family which was symbolically given by the Dean and Leaders of the Dharma Wanita Persatuan UNS. There were 8 business groups that received capital assistance after going through selection and assistance through the Micare Business Coaching (MBC) program. [MnR/MIPA]
