FMIPA UNS – The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta again received a working visit. This time it came from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) State University of Malang (UM). The group consisting of the Dean, Deputy Dean and Lecturer of the UM Biology Department was received by the Dean of the MIPA Faculty of UNS and his staff on Tuesday (30/11/2021) in the Meeting Room of Building C.
The purpose of this working visit is to discuss preparations for the guidance of the National Student Scientific Week (PIMNAS) and the Merdeka Learning Campus Merdeka (MBKM) program. This was conveyed by the Dean of FMIPA UM, Prof. Dr. Hadi Suwono, M.Sc. in his remarks.
“The purpose of our visit is to discuss and share experiences related to PIMNAS guidance and also the MBKM program,” said Prof. Hadi Suwono
However, said Prof. Hadi Suwono further, did not rule out sharing experiences for things others are related to laboratory facilities owned by both parties. Especially now that UM has just been established as a State University with a Legal Entity (PTN BH), of course there are many things that can be extracted from FMIPA UNS related to institutional management. Considering that UNS had previously served as a PTN BH.
The discussion was interesting, because each side has advantages. So that they can exchange policy experiences, both in terms of research and learning. It is hoped that from this meeting closer cooperation between the two institutions can be established, especially in the success of the MBKM program.
Don’t forget the Dean of FMIPA UNS, Drs. Harjana, M.Sc., M.Sc. Ph.D thanked him, because the group from FMIPA UM had the pleasure to visit FMIPA UNS. “Hopefully this visit will benefit both parties,” concluded Drs. Harjana. [MnR]
